Tirta Empul temple (Indonesian: Pura Tirta Empul) is a Hindu Balinese water temple located near the town of Tampaksiring, Bali, Indonesia. The temple compound consists of a petirtaan or bathing structure, famous for its holy spring water, where Balinese Hindus go to for ritual purification. The temple pond has a spring which gives out fresh water regularly, which Balinese Hindus consider to be holy or amritha. Tirta Empul means Holy Spring in Balinese.

Odhimalai Temple, dedicated to Lord Muruga, is located 25 km east of Mettupalayam en route to Bhavani Sagar Dam. The temple, which is also known as Odhimalaiandavar Temple, is perched atop a hill. Since vehicles do not have access to the shrine, you will need to climb up – there are around 1,880 steps that you need to ascend in order to reach the temple. There is a shrine for Lord Shiva at the foot of the hill. On your way, you will come across a shrine dedicated to Lord Ganesha. You will also find shrines for Naagar, Idumban, Viswanathar, Visalakshi, Rajarajeswari and the Sapthamathas.

An inconspicuous platform sits by the road near Thottada in Kannur. The structure may not, architecturally, resemble a temple. Even the circular sanctum sanctorum is different from those in temples constructed in the recent past. Though there is no idol, believers feel the invisible presence of the presiding deity, Urumbachan or Father Ant, who helps fight an army that invades all homes, ants.For local residents, the temple of ants is Urumbachan Gurusthanam. The faithful offer coconuts to Urumbachan, to free their residences of ants without using any insecticide. The belief dates back to several centuries, though there is no historical evidence.

Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi (Vināyaka Chaturthī) is the Hindu festival that reveres God Ganesha. A ten-day festival, it starts on the fourth day of Hindu Luni-solar calendar month Bhadrapada, which typically falls in Gregorian months of August or September. The festival is marked with the installation of Ganesha clay idols privately in homes, or publicly on elaborate pandals (temporary stage). Observations include chanting of Vedic hymns and Hindu texts such as Ganapati Upanishad, prayers, and Vrata (fasting). Offerings and Prasada from the daily prayers, that is distributed from the pandal to the community, include sweets such as modaka believed to be a favorite of the elephant-headed deity. The festival ends on the tenth day after a start, wherein the idol is carried in a public procession with music and group chanting, then immersed in the nearby water body such as a river or ocean, thereafter the clay idol dissolves and Ganesha is believed to return to Mount Kailasha to Parvati and Shiva.

Keezhayur Twin Temples are dedicated to Hindu God Shiva located at Keezhayur Village near Pazhuvur in Ariyalur District of Tamilnadu. The presiding deity is Sri Chozheeswarar and Sri Manonmani for the first temple and Sri Agastheeshwarar and Sri Abitha Kuchalambal for the second one.  Keezhaiyur was part of the capital city of Pazhuvettaraiyar Chieftains, subordinates to the Chola kings. Erumbeeswarar Temple Thiruverumbur, Tamil Nadu, India, is a Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Shiva. Built on a 60-foot (18 m) tall hill, it is accessible via a flight of steps. The temple's main shrines and its two prakarams (outer courtyards) are on top of the hill, while a hall and the temple tank are located at the foothills. Shiva is believed to have transformed himself into an ant hill and tilted his head at this place to enable ants to climb up and worship him. Erumbeeswarar is revered in the canonical 7th-century Tamil Saiva work the Tevaram, written by Tamil saint poets known as nayanmars and classified as Paadal Petra Sthalam.
